Female graduates in Fuzhou, capital of southeast China's Fujian Province, have found their jobs or started their own businesses with the help of Fuzhou Women's Federation.
In recent years, Fuzhou Women's Federation has made great efforts to assist female graduates in employment. It successfully launched a campaign called "Tutors for Starting Businesses." The federation invited 13 successful entrepreneurs to provide instructions and guidelines to female graduates and help them start their businesses. In addition to that, the federation held forums on entrepreneurship and delivered lectures on business management for female graduates. The federation also established 33 bases to provide female graduates with probation opportunities.
Over the past six years, the federation has worked together with relevant provincial departments to organize job fairs for female graduates. According to statistics issued by the federation, those job fairs offered 25,000 job opportunities for female graduates and helped over 10,000 female graduates secure jobs.
Zhu Yong, a postgraduate from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, is now the manager of a design company. Zhu was selected as one of the "Top 10 Female Graduate Entrepreneurs" in Fuzhou by Fuzhou Women's Federation, thanks to her accomplishments in helping university graduates secure a job. Her company has provided training to over 500 graduates on design and some of them have already become senior designers in prominent design companies.
An official from the federation told the reporters that the federation will continue to make more efforts to provide better services to female graduates and help more female graduates find jobs or start their businesses.
